The following two Facebook tricks will impress your friends.  Try them out, and have some fun!

Facebook Trick #1 – Pirate English

With two simple clicks you can Translate Facebook into Pirate English for a good laugh.

To make the change while logged into Facebook simply go to the footer in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, and click on the English language link:

Once you click this link a pop-up menu will appear and you can select “English (Pirate)” and change your language to pirate english!

After making this change your Facebook Profile will look something like this:

Instead of “Logout” the Pirate translation is “Abandon Ship.”  Instead of “Share” the translation says “Divvy spoils t’ all ye mateys.”  Yeaarr-harr-harr!

Facebook Trick #2 – How to: Change The Color of Facebook

By using the Firefox web browser (hands down the best web browser on the planet), the Greasemonkey Add-on, and this userscript you are able to change the colors of Facebook to anything you wish.

To change Facebook’s colors follow these steps:

  • Make sure you are using the Firefox browser.
  • Make sure you have the Greasemonkey add-on installed (this requires restarting your browser).
  • When you have Firefox and Greasemonkey, go to this Facebook colour changer userscript page and click the install button at the top right of the page.
  • Click to confirm that you wish to install the script, and it will be installed.
  • Now, when viewing any page on Facebook simply go to ‘Tools’, ‘Greasemonkey’, ‘Userscript Commands…’ and then ‘Customise facebook colours…’. See the image below for help with this. (Alternatively the same menu can be shown when right-clicking on the monkey on the bottom right).
  • Select the colours you’d like facebook to be, click “Set!”, and you’re done!

    Just re-enter the code! :) If that won't do it log out, reset your history / clear cookies, and log back in.

    The Facebook Trick: Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, enter key then right click. Then press up then down & magic circles will appear!

    Thanks to evil new facebook, you have to go into your Account settings and click on the language tab. Scroll down a long ways and it will list English (Pirate).

    The English Pirate is an awesome option to facebook languages. Even i loved using the pirate version. But you came up with this cool and very rare trick of customizable facebook color. Its simply amazing share. I hope facebook comes up with something called ” set this image as your facebook background” this would be super cool! Nice share :)

    The facebook colour changing script works only on the browser with the installed script..others can,t see it.
    But still its good and refreshing to see new look of facebook
